Conference and Registration FAQs

CONFERENCE LOGISTICS

Devices for virtual conferencing: You can participate from any internet-connected device (desktop computer, laptop computer, tablet, or smart-phone) that also has audio so you can hear the speakers. Most Q&A will be by typed-in chat. There are a few live Zoom meetings where all participants can speak. For these, you will want a microphone if you wish to talk (Chat is always available).  A laptop or desktop computer is best for viewing the live-streamed sessions.

Whova is the platform, or app, we are using for this conference. Originally designed for in-person conferences, it has both a web and mobile version. We recommend that you use the web version for viewing the live-streamed sessions, but the mobile app has its own special feature. Use both!  Registrants will receive additional information on navigating this platform and making the most of this virtual conference. See the buttons at the bottom of this page to download the app.

How to log in if you are already registered. From your desktop or laptop computer: LOG-IN HERE
On a mobile device: Download the Whova app here: Get Whova Now
For both, you will need to use the email address you registered with.

To join sessions at their scheduled time: We recommend that you view sessions from your desktop or laptop computer, not your mobile device, which may have interface problems. Go to the session on the agenda and click Live Stream. You will be offered the choice between “Zoom” and “View on Whova”. Choose “Zoom“.  Recorded sessions will be posted after the session, as soon as we can.

REGISTRATION AND MEMBERSHIP

Registration is for one name and email. Several people in one household may log-in to the conference on the same registration, but they will not have their own identities or be able to set individualized agendas.

Memberships are per individual/family/farm/business at one location; up to 2-3 names and emails can be included in the membership. Large companies are encouraged to acquire multiple memberships.  “Students” include high school, undergraduate, or graduate students. Please include the name of the institution in your registration.

If joining/renewing with your registration, only ONE person from your family/farm/business should add on the membership dues. The others should indicate “already a 2021 member”. We’ll be able to figure it out.

Acreage charge is part of NARBA’s membership structure. This charge for acres in caneberry production maxes out at 20 acres or $100. However, this form will only accept amounts up to 10, so the maximum will be $50.

Benefits of membership: All members receive The Bramble newsletter quarterly, plus occasional E-newsletters and alerts. Growers may choose to be listed in NARBA’s online “Find-A-Farm” farm locator. Industry members can be listed in its online Supplies/Services directory.  Membership also provides connection and networking and supports NARBA’s activities on behalf of the entire caneberry industry.  Membership is for the 2021 calendar year.

Current 2020 and 2021 members: If you joined NARBA in late 2020, you are probably already a 2021 member. 2020 members must renew for 2021 to receive the “member” registration rate. You can renew at the same time or separately. You do not need to do this before you register, but if your membership is not up-to-date by the time of the conference, your registration will be cancelled.

Adding Membership after you register: If you register for the conference at the non-member rate, and decide during the conference that you want to become a member, you can apply $25 of your non-member registration to the NARBA membership fee. Contact NARBA to work this out.

Changes to your registration: If you need to change your registration, t-shirt size/order, contact information, etc. contact NARBA at info@raspberryblackberry.com or 919-542-4037.

Cancellations: Registrations may be cancelled through February 12 for a full refund minus a $10 processing fee. After February 12, a 50% refund is available. To cancel and request a refund, please email info@raspberryblackberry.com.
