Two-Crust Berry Pie

Delicious, any berry pie


Use the recipe of your choice for the crust.

Filling: 4 cups fresh berries

1 cup sugar (more or less, depending on sweetness of the berries)

1/3 cup flour

1 Tbsp. lemon juice

Dash nutmeg

1 tsp. grated lemon rind

2 tbsp. unsalted butter, cut into bits


1Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

2Mix all ingredients together and pour into pie shell.

3Finish with either closed top or lattice top.

4Bake 10 minutes at 450 degrees, then 30 minutes at 350 degrees, or until golden.
