As of January 21, this conference has pivoted to an all-virtual format. The information below has been updated.
We recommend you look through the notes below before registering.
Notes on Registration
On-line registration is for one name and email. If several people are attending, register them each separately. For the virtual conference, several people in one household may log-in to the conference on the same registration, even if using different devices at the same time, but they will not have their own identities or be able to set individualized agendas.
Changes/Refunds/Cancellations: People who have registered for the in-person conference have the option of switching to the virtual conference (with partial refund) or receiving a full refund. Virtual registrants may request a refund minus a $10 processing fee through February 20. Please contact conference organizers at info@raspberryblackberry.com or 919-542-4037 if you have questions or need to make changes.
Notes on Membership
Memberships are per individual/family/farm/business at one location; up to 3 names and emails can be included in the membership. Large companies are encouraged to acquire multiple memberships. Research/Extension/Student memberships are per-person. “Students” include high school, undergraduate, or graduate students. Please include the name of the institution in your registration.
If joining/renewing with your registration, only ONE person from your family/farm/business should add on the membership dues. Join with your registration to take advantage of lower member rates.
Acreage charge is part of NARBA’s membership structure. This charge for acres in caneberry production maxes out at 20 acres or $100. Because the online form will only accept quantities up to 10, those with over 10 acres will need to mix-and-match the $5 and $10 options provided. For example, if you have 15 acres, for $75 choose $5 x 5 and $10 x 5. Or maybe $5 x 3 and $10 x 6. It’s a math puzzle with many solutions.
Benefits of membership: All members receive The Bramble newsletter quarterly, plus occasional E-newsletters and alerts. Growers may choose to be listed in NARBA’s online “Find-A-Farm” farm locator. Industry members can be listed in its online Supplies/Services directory. Membership also provides connection and networking and supports NARBA’s activities on behalf of the entire caneberry industry. Membership is for the 2022 calendar year.
Current members: If you joined NARBA in late 2021 you are probably already a 2022 member. 2021 members must renew for 2022 to receive the “member” registration rate. You can renew at the same time or separately.
Adding Membership after you register: If you register for the conference at the non-member rate, and decide during the conference that you want to become a member, you can apply $25 of your non-member registration to the NARBA membership fee. Contact NARBA to work this out.
Notes on Conference Logistics
Virtual registrants can participate from any internet-connected device (desktop computer, laptop computer, tablet, or smart-phone) that also has audio so you can hear the speakers. A laptop or desktop computer is best for viewing the live-streamed sessions.
Whova is the platform, or app, we are using for this conference. Originally designed for in-person conferences, it has both a web and mobile version. We recommend that you use the web version for viewing the live-streamed sessions, but the mobile app has its own special features and will be especially useful for in-person registrants. Registrants will receive additional information on navigating this platform. See the buttons at the bottom of this page to download the app.
Recordings: All registrants will have access to recorded sessions on-demand through Whova for six months after the end of the conference.
